A Place to Be Yourself. Finally.
LGBTQ+ Adult Support Group — Every other Saturday at 1 PM — Starts June 27th
Being LGBTQ+ means navigating a world that wasn’t always designed with you in mind. The daily weight of that — the code-switching, the family tension, the anxiety, the loneliness that can show up even in a crowd — is real. And it’s a lot to carry alone.
That’s why we created this group.
Our LGBTQ+ Adult Support Group is a professionally facilitated space for adults 18 and older who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, nonbinary, or anywhere on the spectrum. You don’t have to be in crisis to be here. You just have to be ready to show up.
What to Expect
Every other Saturday at 1:00 PM, a small group of adults gathers with a licensed, affirming counselor from Santos Counseling. The conversation is guided, not scripted. Members set the tone. You might talk about what happened this week, what’s been building for months, or what you’ve never said out loud before.
This is a process group, not a class. That means growth happens through honest conversation, shared experience, and genuine human connection with people who already understand the basics of your life.

How To Get The Most Out Of Group Therapy
Come Willing To Learn And Grow
Group Therapy is supposed to be a place where you can learn more about yourself while building coping skills to help you overcome life’s difficulties. One way that you can enter group therapy with a willingness to learn and grow is by giving yourself a small goal. The goal of each session having one takeaway that you can apply to your life.
Join Group Therapy With A Willingness To Participate
Please know that you do not have to share in all situations during group therapy. It is beneficial though to find opportunities in which you can join the conversation. When you participate in the conversations taking place during group therapy, you’ll be able to gain insight, strategies to address challenges, and a connection with those in the therapy group.
Share With Comfort
More than likely, you are joining the group because of certain difficulties. You are searching for a therapeutic space that can help you heal, grow, and move forward in the right direction. Perfect. Group therapy is just that. To get the most out of group therapy, you must find a group in which you feel comfortable, supported, and empowered.
