Benefits Of Seeking Therapy
Did you know that working with a counselor can improve mental health conditions like anxiety and depression?
Research supports this, largely due to the brain’s ability to change and adapt—a process known as neuroplasticity. Studies on neuroplasticity reveal that the brain can rewire itself in response to mental health interventions, strengthening healthier thought patterns over time. According to Mental Health America, therapy can enhance overall functioning and reduce the risk of unwanted symptoms, providing individuals with the tools they need to thrive.
Listen to an episode on the Santos Counseling podcast, The Couch. It dives into more about the brain and the feel good hormones.
